Eyes on Me by Sara Cate: FAQs + Books Like It

Updated: Aug 20, 2023

After reading the first book in the Salacious Player's Club series, it felt as though Sara Cate herself served me with a "do not pass go" monopoly card. I had to keep going, regardless of the length of my existing to-be-read list. It was temporarily on hold until I could read Eyes on Me. (Kindle | Paperback)

Now, given that I went straight from Praise to Eyes on Me, I didn't bother reading the description. If I had, I would have noticed one particularly important detail - this is a spicy romance... between step-siblings. So, no; it's not your average spicy romance. Is that a bad thing? Nope. Is it everybody's thing? Not exactly. All I'm saying is, do with that information as you will.

With that out of the way, let's answer some of your most pressing questions about the book, as well as give you five books like Eyes on Me by Sara Cate to check out next. (Warning: This article contains spoilers)

"I’m a voyeur - it means I like to watch. I've always been comfortable on the sidelines. At least, that was until the day I stumbled on a certain cam girl app and watched the one person I should never have - my step-sister. There are three big problems with this. One, Mia and I can’t stand each other. Two, she has no idea I’m the man on the other end of the video. And three, I’m hooked - on the app and on her. Now, Mia has me wanting and doing things I said I’d never do again. I’m falling for her, but she’s falling for the mystery man I’m pretending to be. If I’m going to make this right, then I have to do more than just watch. But how far will I go to keep her eyes on me?"

Does Eyes on Me Have a Happy Ending?

Yes - Eyes on Me has a happy ending! After finding out that Drake is actually Garrett, Mia leaves and the two don't speak for two weeks. During this time, Garrett falls into a depressive episode. On the night of the voyeur event though, Emerson is able to coax Garrett out of his apartment and into the club. When he arrives, he is surprised to find out that Mia is performing. As you might expect, it doesn't take long for Garrett to interrupt and join Mia's performance. In other words, they have crazy makeup butt sex in front of everyone. At the end of the night, Garrett confesses to Mia that he has undiagnosed and untreated manic depression. They then tell each other they love each other and get back together. Three months after that, Garrett and Mia get engaged. Two years later, they are married and trying for a baby. They waited that long because Garrett wanted time to start medication for his depression and get therapy.

5 Books Like Eyes on Me by Sara Cate

If you're looking for books like Eyes on Me by Sara Cate then you've come to the right place because I have five similar recommendations for you that all feature some degree of voyeurism/exhibitionism.

Voyeur by Fiona Cole

1. Voyeur by Fiona Cole

Not only are Eyes on Me and Voyeur by Fiona Cole alike in that both are spicy, have an age gap, and feature voyeurism, but the series the two are a part of are even similar. Given all of that, this would be my top recommendation when it comes to books like Eyes on Me. Here's what it's about exactly: "I didn’t know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur. Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching. But I couldn’t do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible. The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass. I just have to hope that once she finds out the truth, she wants the same thing I do. Because now that I've seen all of her, I can't look away."

Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren

2. Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren

As far as voyeur-exhibitionist romance books go that are like Eyes on Me, Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren might be the most popular with over 90,000 reviews on GoodReads. Here's what it's about: "Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon’s moved to New York City and is looking for excitement and passion without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night’s fun. But the manner - and speed - with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger. The whole city knows that Max Stella loves women, not that he’s ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it’s not until Sara - and the wild photos she lets him take of her - that he starts wondering if there’s someone for him outside of the bedroom. Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private."

A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone

3. A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone

If there's one book that immediately came to mind when I started writing this list of books like Eyes on Me, it was A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone. If the title and cover have you worried this is just a sweet Christmas romance, think again. Yes, it takes place on the set of a Christmas movie. But that doesn't mean it's so Christmas-y it can only be read in December. Plus, like Mia, the female main character's job is a 'camgirl'/on 'OnlyFans'. If you're intrigued, here's a brief description: "Nolan Shaw is an ex-boy band member in desperate need of career rehab. He’s even promised his manager to keep it zipped up on the set of his latest project - a family-friendly Christmas movie. But that proves difficult when Nolan recognizes his new co-star from her ClosedDoors account and the two start sneaking off for secret quickies. If Bee and Nolan can’t keep their off-camera romance behind the scenes though, then this merry little meet-cute might end up on the cutting room floor."

Neon Gods by Katee Robert

4. Neon Gods by Katee Robert

Did anyone else know that Katee Robert's bestselling Hades and Persephone retelling, Neon Gods, had a hint of voyeurism and exhibitionism? Because I didn't. Not until I went looking for books like Eyes on Me and came across a Reddit thread where it was recommended several times for it. In fact, as the SmutReport explained, "Hades and Persephone have a decent amount of sex, including some sex club exhibitionism. But what’s really great about it is how obviously intentional each scene is in building the layers of the relationship as it develops. This is not voyeurism for the sake of reading about sex, but rather to demonstrate the shifts in how Hades and Persephone perceive each other and themselves." What I love about this as a follow-up to Eyes on Me, is that it has this one element in common, but otherwise, they're two very different books which should keep things interesting for you as the reader.

Dark Citadel by Cherise Sinclair

5. Dark Citadel by Cherise Sinclair

With a rating of 4.17 out of 5 and over 17,000 reviews on GoodReads, Dark Citadel by Cherise Sinclair is a promising follow-up to Eyes on Me. The publisher does point out that it "contains anal play/intercourse, BDSM (including/not limited to bondage, caning, restraint, spanking, tethering), exhibitionism, voyeurism." From that, it sounds like the spicy content will be on par with what you saw in Eyes on Me. Now, here's what it's about: "After Kari breaks up with her date during Beginner's Night at Club Shadowlands, she's given the option to continue with an experienced dominant. Despite her steamy fantasies about BDSM, the inexperienced schoolteacher plans to simply observe. Yet under the unyielding hands of Master Dan, she not only participates but gives him everything he asks for. There is nothing she can hide from him. Not her passion...or her love."
